The Second Flight B.V. (Ex-Plane) collects and processes your personal data if/when you make use of our services, or when you provide us with information. Listed below is an overview of personal data that we process:

  • First and last name
  • Gender
  • Date of birth
  • Address information
  • Phone number

  • any other personal information that you actively share with us, for example by creating a profile on this website, in correspondence, or in a phone call
  • location data
  • tracking data about your activity on our website
  • data about your activity on different websites (for example because this company is part of a broader advertisement network)

Sensitive data that we collect and process

Our website and/or service has no intention to collect any data on visitors that are under the age of 18, unless they were granted permission by a parent or caregiver. We can, however, not reasonably check if a visitor is or is not under the age of 18. We recommend parents and caregivers to be involved in the online activities of their kids, as a way to prevent any data from being collected without parental consent. For what purposes we collect and process data

Ex-Plane collects and processes your personal data for the following uses:

  • Sending our newsletter and/or promotion materials;
  • To reach out to you when it’s necessary for us to deliver our service;
  • To inform you about changes in our service and products;
  • To deliver goods;
  • Ex-Plane analyses your activity on our website to further improve our website, and to further tune our services to your preference;
  • Ex-Plane also collects and processes personal data if we have a legal obligation to do so, for instance information that we need for our tax return.

Sharing of personal data with third parties

Ex-Plane shares your personal data with various third parties if this is necessary for the execution of the agreement, as well as to comply with any legal obligation. 

We have a processing agreement with companies that process your data on our behalf, to ensure a high level of security and confidentiality. 

Ex-Plane remains responsible for these processing operations. In addition, Ex-Plane provides your personal data to third parties. We only do this with explicit consent.

Ex-Plane uses cookies for functionality, analytics, and tracking. A cookie is a small text file that is saved in the internet browser of a computer, smartphone, or tablet, on a website’s first visit. Ex-Plane primarily utilizes purely functional cookies. These cookies are necessary for the website to work properly, but also serve to, for instance, save your preferences and improve our website. 

Besides the functional cookies, we utilize cookies that track your browsing activity – this enables us to serve you with customized content and advertisements. During your first visit to our website, we have informed you about these cookies and requested permission to use them. Insight into, modifying or removing data

This means that you can request us to send a file containing your personal data to you or to any other organization.


You can send a request for insights, modification, removal, or data portability to info@thesecondflight.com. To verify that the request is done by you, we ask you to provide a copy of your legal identification. We also ask you to make the following parts unreadable in this copy for privacy reasons:

  • Photo
  • MRZ (machine readable zone, the bar of numbers at the bottom of your passport)
  • Document number  
  • Burgerservicenummer (BSN) / Social Security number


Ex-Plane will respond to your request as soon as possible, but no later than within 4 weeks. We’d also like to point out that it is possible to file a complaint with the Dutch national authority of personal data, called “Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens”, through this link.

Ex-Plane is serious about the protection of your personal data, and takes precautions to prevent any misuse, loss, unauthorized access, publication, or unauthorized changes from happening.
